Policies

CAUTION: Oak Mountain exists in an alpine environment where ice, snow, and irregular conditions may exist at any time on any surface. Enter at your own risk. Stay alert to your surroundings. Proper footwear is recommended.

Those skiers found misusing lift tickets, transferring lift tickets, or attempting to gain lift access without lift tickets, may be subject to criminal arrest and prosecution.

To Report an Accident

If possible, Place crossed skis in snow above the injured skier in a visible location to form an "X" pattern. Alert ski patrol by contacting the nearest lift attendant or by notifying any mountain employee.

STAY ON THE SCENE, until the ski patrol arrives; provide your name and address to the ski patrol.

Ski Patrol / First Aid

Our ski patrol is staffed by professionals who want to help you. Stop by the Ski Patrol Room located in the basement of the Rental Lodge, Guest Services in the Main Lodge or the Ski Patrol Cabin at the Summit.

Kids, Parents, Friends, & Family

If your kids don't have an ID, give them your business card or a luggage tag with information about where you are staying or how to reach you - cell phone number.

If you become separated from your group, alert a 518.438.3606x2 Employee to assist you in reuniting with your group. The information desk at the 518.438.3606x2 : Make sure that everyone in your party knows of these locations. If all else fails and you can't find your friends or family, plan to meet them there.

Drones

Out of safety concerns for guests, employees, and resort property, as well as concerns for individual privacy, the operation or use of unmanned aerial systems, or drones on or above Oak Mountain without the prior written authorization from the Ski Area, is prohibited. This prohibition on drone operations or use extends to any drones launched or operated from Ski Area property, as well as drones launched from outside Ski Area boundaries. Pets

No pets are permitted inside Oak Mountain facilities. Pets outside facilities must be leashed at all times. Please pick up after pets.

Picnicking

No outside alcoholic beverages will be permitted in resort buildings or on the property.

No coolers or boxes permitted in resort buildings or on decks.

Ski and Snowboard Equipment is not allowed in the Main Lodge or dining areas. Please use ski/board racks outside.

Photo Release

Oak Mountain may be shooting photography and video during the season for promotional use. By purchasing a lift ticket, we have the right to use your image in any print, interactive, or broadcast materials. No compensation will be given.

Sledding

Please note: There is NO SLEDDING at Oak Mountain.
