Snowshoeing at Oak Mountain is FREE, you just need to sign in at the Base Lodge no later than 2pm. (We need to allow ample time to sweep the trails before closing) We NOW have snowshoe rentals for our trails during operations hours. Snowshoe Rentals are $10.
Summit Trail- 3.2 miles round trip
• From the base area, head to the top of the Bunny Hill (please stay on the left side to avoid skiers) - up Crosscut Ski Trail fpr 20 feet and then veer left onto the single track in the woods- following the blue markers labeled (snowshoe trail) the whole way. You will cross the snowmobile trail 4 times.
• Take on your last big climb before emerging from the tree line at the Summit, enjoy the beautiful view.
