The need for SPEED!
The Oak Mountain Race Team (OMRT) is a non-profit team that offers quality coaching for motivated young athletes for alpine racing. We pride ourselves on being family friendly with high level competition training. Our goal is to provide affordable, quality competition-focused alpine racing experiences. The 2023-24 season is our ninth year with the program and our seventh year as a sanctioned race team through the United States Ski Association (USSA) and the New York State Ski Race Association (NYSSRA).
Ages: 7-14

Training Dates: 12/16/23-3/10/24
Saturdays 9:30-3pm and Sundays 9-1 (training and fun race)

Program Details:
The program works on skill building, goal setting, and competition. With the main focus being on fun, participants are exposed to a variety of learning situations designed to give them success and the desire for more! Free-skiing, gate drills, gate training, and T-Bar loops are part of any practice. Participants will have the option of competing in the Adirondack Council race series and any Oak Mountain competitions. Some school vacation days are included.
Adirondack Council competitions require NYSSRA and USSA membership.
Qualifications: Intermediate Skiers Age 7 to 14 and must be able to ride a chairlift without an Adult.
